Homemade Chocolate Vitatops

One of my favorite snacks is a chocolate Vitatop with fat free Cool Whip. The Vitatops are so good, but SO expensive. So after buying a muffin top baking sheet at a garage sale, I decided to create my own Vitatops. You can find the original recipe here. I altered it to my liking.

This recipe has migrated over to my everyday blog, Runs for Cookies. This link will take you directly to the recipe.

  2. I made these today! I used my Wilton mini muffin pan set and got 38 mini muffin tops. They're really good! Thanks for the recipe!

  3. I just recently got a sampler pack of Vitatops and quite loved them but wasn't interested in having to buy them (I received them to review) because of their price. How exciting to be able to make them myself :) Thanks for the recipe!!

  4. I've been hoping I'd find a recipe for these! Deep Chocolate VitaTops are my favorite, but they're so expensive. I'll have to make these tomorrow!
Just a tip to try: I always microwave mine for 15 seconds and then pop them in the toaster. They taste like they're fresh out of the oven that way. :)

  5. This is perfect! I just tried someone else's recipe for knock-off vita tops but the recipe had oats instead of flour and I just can't stand the texture. These look so yummy! How do you think it would be if you added a bit of ground flax meal to up the nutrition?

  6. So I made these and followed all of the directions but they came out super thick...I 'molded'them into the muffin top pans instead of pouring...any ideas on where i went wrong?

    1. Oh no! That's strange--are you sure you didn't forget one of the liquids? I can't imagine why that would have happened. Sorry :(
