My Very Favorite Recipes


Mexican Lentils & Rice--This recipe is very easy, versatile, and TASTY. My favorite way to eat this is wrapped in a tortilla with cheese, sour cream, and guacamole; but it's also good plain, in a bowl. It's perfect for lunch or dinner, and the whole family loves it.

Moroccan Meatballs over Orzo-- This was the first savory dish that includes cinnamon that I ever tried. I was so tempted not to put the cinnamon in it, but I love to try new things, so I figured it couldn't hurt. The jalapeno and cinnamon in this dish are a fantastic combination!

Baked Ziti-- This recipes looks way too simple to taste any good, but it definitely makes my list of top 10 recipes. Don't let the lack of ingredients fool you!

Cabbage Casserole-- Mmm, comfort food at it's best! This is very filling and delicious, and it's one of the few foods I will actually eat leftovers of.

Roasted Cauliflower with Cheese-- Vegetables don't get much better than this!!

Roasted Tomato & Garlic Soup with Barley-- This soup tastes just as good as it smells! Perfect for a fall or winter lunch.

Chicken or Mushroom Paprikash-- I prefer the mushroom version, but my family likes the chicken. The paprika gravy is delicious!

Crispy Potato Halves-- The perfect side dish! These are so satisfying when you want fried food. They aren't fried, but they certainly taste like it.

Hot Cinnamon Apples-- These are PERFECT for fall time in Michigan. I buy apples really cheap and then make this in the slow cooker. I use them to top pancakes or waffles, ice cream, or just eat them out of a bowl with a little milk or cool whip. You can adjust the sugar according to taste.

Flourless Monster Cookies-- My friend Renee gave me this recipe, and I love these cookies!
